What knowledge and competencies are necessary for successful international business activities? For us, this question is far from being theoretical or rhetorical; it has concrete practical implications. Due to a vast array of successful market research and benchmarking studies, solid business and cooperation relations between our company and enterprises from Asia, Eastern and Western Europe, South and Central America and Africa, we possess profound experience in international business. We are an acknowledged and selected partner

in the Manager Training Programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action “Fit for Partnership with Germany” and have been actively involved in the international Manager Training Programmes since 1998 – the year the programme was launched. Since the beginning, more than 15,000 managers from 21 countries have participated in the programme. Every year we host different international groups and support the participants in their competence development and the promotion of foreign trade. We have developed tools for successful programme implementation both in the onsite and online formats.
Together with the GIZ, which acts as General Manager of the “Fit for Partnership with Germany” programme, we elaborated the concept of management skills that is the cornerstone of the programme. The academic responsibility of the Management Skills in the Business Practice of German Companies rested with the Managing Director of Export-Akademie Baden-Württemberg Mr. Prof. Dr. Bertram Lohmüller.

Our competence model – Green IMLead® (Green Management & Leadership) Heptathlon Management Concept

– provides a framework for our international management trainings. All our management and leadership trainings as well as our case studies are linked to the seven IMLead® management fields.

During the implementation of the programme, we organise and conduct management trainings and focused group company visits to help our participants experience German businesses in practice and learn from the management know-how of German companies.

An essential element of the Programme are B2Bs -

individual meetings with German partners. We support our participants in establishing direct business contacts and conducting tailored negotiations with potential German business partners.

Besides the BMWi Manager Training Programmes we also organise and conduct tailor-made international Leadership Programmes. These training programmes help our participants address the current challenges in national and international business in general and in a specific branch in particular, use market opportunities and minimise possible market threats, bring their products and services to new markets.
